Planning a wedding comes with lots of opinions, so how do you remain centered on what you want your day to look like? While we know this is just a natural part of the process and family/friends are simply excited for you and your special day, it is important to remember the day you and your partner envision. For Payton and Max, this was a mixture of tradition and modernity unique to them.
The Perfect Reception Space: The Maven Hotel
After holding a stunning ceremony at The Shrine of St. Ann, they wanted to bring a little city flare to their day. When searching for the perfect location for their wedding, a conventional reception space just wouldn’t do.
Nestled in the heart of Denver’s Dairy Block is The Maven, a hotel that beautifully mixes sophistication and edge. With exposed brick and a reception space that spills onto the Dairy Block alley, this was the perfect location. Originally home to Windsor Dairy, this micro-district in LoDo boasts creativity, good food, and a unique atmosphere.
While guests enjoyed a cocktail hour next door at Poka Lola, Payton and Max snuck away with photos with their pup and bridal party among the moody Colorado clouds. Wanting to make use of the stunning location, they had to capture their love among the urban art and city atmosphere of Dairy Block.
A comfortable lounge set and mood lighting made for a cozy outdoor space, while florals from Yarrow and Spruce created a romantic indoor reception. With on-site food and beverage services, the couple was able to create a menu all their own. As guests filtered over from cocktail hour, Payton and Max made their grand entrance and enjoyed their first dance as newlyweds.
After dinner, Elite DJ turned the sound up and invited guest to dance and make memories in the photobooth. With a grand exit already planned, the only left for Payton and Max to do was celebrate!
A big thanks to The Maven Hotel for providing such a perfect reception space!
